Tat Kuang Si: Well, what did you expect to be our number 1!  The bear rescue centre and waterfalls at Tat Kuang Si are a must see. N
Royal Palace Museum: Fabulous building with frequent exhibitions as well as the permanent displays.  Entry fee $2. N
Wat Xieng Thong: Beautiful and atmospheric temple complex with plenty to see.  If you only visit one Wat in Luang Prabang make it this one.  Entry fee $1. N
Phu Si: Sensational views of Luang Prabang and the surrounding countryside.  Get up there for a sunrise or sunset if you can!  Entry fee $1. N
The Night Market: Well, you didn't really want to take all that money home did you?  And after all, now you've changed your cash for Kip you are a millionaire... N
The Lao Red Cross: OK - so it's not really a sight, but there's nothing better than a massage or sauna after a long day in the hot sun.  Not only are the massages here great but you're helping out a good cause too.  Prices start at around a dollar. N

Pak Ou Caves: Series of caves found up the Mekong from Luang Prabang. Description coming soon...  
Ban Phanom: Weaving village Around 7km out of town this weaving village is a good place to buy cotton and silk textiles where you can also observe traditional weaving techniques. Its easy to get to by bicycle or jumbo and can be combined with a visit to nearby Wat Pa Phon Phao and Mouhots tomb.

Handicraft Night Market: This nightly market along Th Sisavangvong is a great place to take a stroll and check out the large range of Lao handicrafts in a relaxed and friendly environment. Really take in the unique atmosphere by grabbing something to eat from one of the scrumptous foodstalls along the way. Don't forget to bargain hard! Note that a smaller number of stalls also operate along the street during the day. N
Pathana Boupha Antique House: A great place to browse through a wonderful selection of antiques and handicrafts. N
Baan Khily Gallery: Friendly and relaxed this place sells beautiful handmade mulberry bark paper lamps and stars, artwork and textiles amongst other Lao handicrafts.  
Thithpeng Maniphone: Renowned silversmith for high quality silverware.
